ECON 40 & 50 Instructor : Summer 2026 Semester
Teaching Period: June - October 2026
The American University of Yangon (AUY) is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Instructor with a background in economics to teach ECON 40 & 50 Instructor for college level students in the Summer 2026 semester.
ECON 40 Course
Description : Principles of Microeconomics
Introduction to microeconomic theories of demand, production, and income distribution; price determination and resource allocation, under alternative forms of market organization; government regulation of economic activity; applied economic analysis and policy formation in selected topic areas.
ECON 50 Course
Description : Principles of Macroeconomics
Economic theories of the determination of income, output, employment and prices in the economy as a whole; business cycles, fiscal and monetary policies; economic growth and development; international trade; comparative economic systems CSU GE Breadth D3.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are native English speakers or graduates of U.S. based universities who are familiar with the teaching methods and academic standards of U.S. higher education, and who are currently residing in Yangon. However, all qualified individuals living in Yangon with the credentials and experience are encouraged to apply.
