General education or foundation courses, taken during the first two years at AUY, cover subjects such as math, science, humanities, and social sciences. These courses are transferable to our American partner universities, allowing students to apply them toward bachelor’s degree requirements upon transfer.
International Study Program
Youth Leadership Program (YLP) is a month-long workshop offered each semester to Myanmar youth, non-AUY students, designed to empower participants with professional and personal skills such as communication, team-building, public speaking, and critical thinking. In addition to classroom learning, participants engage in hands-on projects that address pressing local issues like recycling, air quality, and heritage preservation. This program provides a unique opportunity to acquire new skills while offering exposure to the university experience.

With 60 U.S. credits from AUY, students may be eligible for entry into Year 2 or module exemptions.
USA University System

A typical U.S. bachelor's degree = 120 credits (4 years).

AUY students earn 60 U.S.-equivalent credits in 2 years.

These 60 credits are usually fully transferable to U.S. partner universities.
